Registration is OPEN! (And other news items)
Hello Dolphin Families!
For those of you planning on returning for our 2024 season, online Registration is now open! For those of you not planning on returning you will be on the email list until May when I will switch to the “current year’s” registered emails. (I apologize in advance that you can’t unsubscribe yourself.)
I have updated the website with all of the dates and information that I currently have. Please check out the Sign-Up Calendar for more details.
In-Person Registration
Sunday, April 28
11:00am – 2:00pm
Dam West Clubhouse
There will be a “New to Swim Team” presentation and Q&A session with Coach Emilie.
There will be a “Volunteers” table with our new volunteer coordinators, Jessica Johnson & Evelyn Carino, available to answer questions about volunteer requirements and job descriptions.
Our merchandise coordinator, Julia Chavez, will have samples of the team swimsuit and sweats available for sizing as well as a computer for ordering suits, sweats and t-shirts. Swim caps and other Dolphin swag will be available for purchase as well.
There will be several computers available to use for registering. If you want to pay by check, this will be a good day to do so.
New Family Orientation
Friday, May 24
5:30pm – 6:30pm
This will include a presentation in the clubhouse and then a walk around the pool area where there will be examples of what to expect at a swim meet.
Stroke & Turn Judges
This year, (like every year!) we need Stroke & Turn Judges! To be eligible to be a Meet Ref, Deck Ref or Starter you need at least 1 year of Stroke & Turn Judge experience. As these officials’ positions have turnover we need to pull from our experienced S&T judges which means we are always in need of more S&T judges. If you are interested in learning more you can check out the Job Description and the Training Clinics Schedule. Please check the schedule ASAP as the first training is April 3. (Meet/Deck Refs, we are still waiting on training dates.)
Head/Key Volunteer Positions Available
My ultimate vision for this team to have at least 2 people trained for each of the “Head” or “Key” volunteer positions. We’ve already had some wonderful people step up for some of them but I would still like a 2nd person for each so that if anyone is sick or traveling or has an emergency there is someone to step in. I’ve also added a couple of new positions as I work to delegate some of the jobs that I’ve been doing.
