Hello Dolphin Families!

OK, it’s time! Our first meet of the season! The Meet Details at the bottom are the same but below is some additional information.

VOLUNTEERS: We just need 2 more:

Shift 2 – Timer (need 2)

WEATHER: If you’ve been watching the forecast, you know it’s predicting rain all morning but as we all know, that could mean anything: no rain, a little rain, off and on rain or thunderstorms that cause us to delay. So please be prepared for rain! Bring a tent and/or umbrellas, extra towels and warm clothing, anything that might help keep you and your swimmer(s) comfy and dry between events and/or if we need to delay. And don’t forget some entertainment in case we end up with a delay at some point.

MEET PROGRAM: The Meet Program (aka Heating Sheets) and the Individual Entry List are attached. Use the Individual List to see what events your swimmer(s) is swimming. You will also use this to mark your swimmers. (If you don’t know how, we can help you tomorrow morning at check-in.)

There are a LOT of combined events. Foxridge has marked them on the Meet Program for you. Combined events mean that your event number may come up quicker than you expect so please be sure to keep an eye on the Heating Numbers and keep your swimmers where we can find them!

PLAYGROUND: The playground at Foxridge is closed during swim meets.

MEET DETAILS:

Arrive by: You should aim to arrive by 6:30am in order find parking, unload and find a place to set up.

Pool Address: 7070 East Mineral Avenue, Centennial, CO 80112

Our Warm-Up Time: 6:50 – 7:20

Meet Starts at: 7:30am

Team Colors: The Foxridge Foxes team colors are RED so please try not to wear red. Wearing BLUE helps us know that you are with the Dolphins.

Theme: Retro Hippie (remember, this is optional and just for fun!)

Pool Details: They have a 6 lane, yard pool. The deep end is 11’ so it will be similar to our pool.

Parking: Please observe the no parking signs in the neighborhood. Please follow all neighborhood speed limits.

Visitor Seating Area:  The visitor section will be set up to the right (north) on the playground/lawn area.

Concessions:  Foxridge concessions will be available, cash or credit card, with plenty of pancakes, sausage, and burritos for breakfast, and hamburgers and hotdogs for lunch. There will be lots of treats, too!

Volunteer Shifts: Please listen to the ANNOUNCER for details on where to meet and at what time. There is usually a Stroke & Turn Judges Meeting and a Timers Meeting before the meet. They will also announce the shift change which is usually after Event 48.

General Meet Questions: Please use the “Meet Information” tab to find helpful info on things like general Meet Preparation (what to bring, etc), how to mark your swimmer, how to read a heating sheet (the Meet Program), how to read the individual results, how scoring works and the pool maps. There is also an “FAQs” page under the “For Parents” tab. If you still can’t find the answer, feel free to ask me or use the “Contact Us” page to find the appropriate person.

RESULTS:  Results will be posted somewhere in the pool area at the completion of each event.  (IE: when all of the backstroke events are completed they will print those sheets out and post them.)   I will email the final results later in the day on Saturday.
