Our new Flyer! (And other news.)

    Hello Dolphin Families!

Just a few updates and reminders.

Flyer: Please help us to advertise and get the word out! A huge THANK YOU to Laura Coupas (our new team photographer!) for creating our flyer this year. I am attaching it for you to email to friends, post on your FB page, post it in your neighborhood newsletter, post it on your neighborhood FB page, hand it out at your kids’ games or post it in any place you think it might get seen (libraries, schools, grocery stores, etc.) If you’ve got teens, ask them to talk to their friends. Help us spread the word!

In-Person Registration & Team Gear Ordering: We will have our in-person registration day at the Dam West Clubhouse. We will have a sizing kit and samples available to see and order the swimsuit, sweats and t-shirts. We will have computers available for registration and Coach Emilie will be available to answer questions.

    Sunday, April 23

    1:00 – 3:00pm

Swimsuit Donations: If your swimmer has outgrown their team swimsuit and you’d like to donate it back to the team we are happy to find it a new home! You can bring it to the In-Person event or to any swim practice. If you are looking for a gently used suit, please ask me and I will show you what we have. (I don’t have any at the moment.)

Stoke & Turn Judges: Thank you to those that have already signed up! We are still in need of more judges! If you even think you might be interested, please take the class and find out more about it. If you take the class and decide it’s just not for you, you will not be obligated to be a judge. Remember, this is just a fun, summer league, not the Olympics.  We don't want to pressure anyone but we DO rely 100% on volunteers and we MUST have judges in order to have a meet.

The MHSL has added a 4th class option. Please use the link to sign up.

Volunteer Coordinator:  For Candace Ellman, our amazing volunteer coordinator, this will be her last year with the team as her daughter, Coach Micaela, ages out. (Nooooo!) She is looking for someone to train into the position to take over next year so please let me or her know if you are interested. She can be reached at [email protected] or (303) 947-5363.

Division C: I received a couple of questions about the “new” teams in Division C so thought I would clarify. None of the teams are new to the MHSL. At the end of every season the league looks at various data points and moves teams around. There are typically 6 teams per division but the league currently has 23 rather than the usual 24 teams so one division will only have 5 teams. They will rotate that blank spot between divisions. Last year it was Division C which is why we did tri-meets. This year it will be Division D.

This season, Castle Rock East & West were moved to Division B so, Holly Park Sharks and Foxridge Foxes will be joining us, as well as the Canterberry Crocs. These are all smaller teams with similar pools to us so I think it’s going to be a really fun season! If this is still confusing, don’t worry about it! Just know that we’re excited to have these “new” teams in our division and I know it’s going to be a great season! See “Pool Maps” for the team locations.

That is all for now. Hope you all have a wonderful week!

    Toni
