    Meet Information for Saturday (7-9-22)

    Hello Dolphin Families,

    Here is some information for our final Home Meet on Saturday!


    Volunteers: Thank you SO much to everyone that has already signed up!  As I mentioned previously, we have 60 slots to fill this time so we need all the help we can get!  As Candace mentioned, other people are welcome to help out: older siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends, etc.  These spots are still open:

    1 Heating Area – Shift 2

    1 Order of Finish – Shift 2

    4 Scoring Table – Shift 1 & 2

    1 Scribe – Shift 2

    2 Timers – Shift 2

    1 Back-Up Timer – Shift 2

    2 for Clubhouse Clean-up (After Meet) – This is a job I end up doing so just trying to find some help.

    Friday Night Set-Up: We will start setting up at 7:00pm. Thank you to everyone that has volunteered to help! I know it said 6:00pm on the sign-up description but I’ve changed it to 7:00pm because there are things we try not to do until closer to the pool closing time of 8:00. Hopefully the hour difference is OK. If not, just let me know.


    Saturday Morning Set-Up: There is still plenty to be done on Saturday morning and we don’t really have a volunteer sign-up for that but if you are able to help out feel free to jump in. I am hoping to have lists posted around of what needs to be done.


    Meet Prep: If all goes well (and I’m not jinxing anything) this should be a fairly quick meet. I’m sure you’re all pros by now but you can use the "Meet Preparation" page as a reminder for what you might want to bring. Be sure to remember extra towels and goggles.

    Arrive by: 6:15am

    Warm ups: 6:30am

    Meet begins: 7:30am


    Seating Area: Dam West will be sitting in the grassy area on the north side (shallow end) of the pool. There is a tree that will provide some shade but the rest of the area will be sunny and HOT so bring tents or canopies or umbrellas. FYI: the grassy area towards the corner and in front of the tree – where the grass meets the concrete deck – will become a swamp so anyone sitting there will want to be in a chair, not on the ground. All of the pool lounge chairs will be put away so please bring your own chairs.


    Parking: As you all know we have a very small parking lot. If you’re driving and get there before I can get the Reserved Parking signs out - please leave the 3 parking spots in the farthest SE corner open. (Closest to the playground.)


    Concessions: We will have breakfast burritos and other breakfast items available as well as lots of drinks and snacks. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers available for lunch. Cash is easiest but we do have the means to accept a credit card. If your swimmer has Dolphin Dollars from this season or past seasons they can use them here. They are worth 25 cents each. (Most things are $1+.)

    Theme: The coaches would like to remind all the swimmers that Saturday’s theme is “Rock Star!”
