Hello again!

I little warning to all the new families - we have reached that point in the season where things get Fast & Furious!  I apologize in advance that this is all very NOW. The deadlines snuck up on me too.

As we head into our final dual meet on Saturday, July 9, we will also be looking for meet entries and to fill volunteer positions for Prelims on July 11 and 12 (Monday & Tuesday) as well as Championships on July 16. ALL of the Meet Entries and Volunteer positions are now open!

HOME MEET: Our final Home Dual Meet is Saturday, July 9. Please sign-up your swimmer(s) as "Attending" or "Not Attending." The deadline is Wednesday, July 6 @ 5:00pm.

Also, please sign-up for a volunteer position. We've been a little spoiled with tri-meets and away meets. For a regular Home DUAL meet there are 60 positions that need to be filled which means we are going to need everyone's help! So please sign-up early.

PRELIMS: What are Prelims? Prelims determine which swimmers will go on to the Championship meet. All 5 teams will swim at Prelims. Every swimmer can choose 3 individual events to compete in. The top 16 in each event will swim that event at Championships. The top 8 will swim in the "medal round" and 9-16 will swim in the "ribbon round." Swimmers 18-20 should be on stand-by. There are lots of cancellations and many on stand-by will get called up. There are no relays at Prelims.

There are TWO different Prelim meets:

Day 1 is ONLY swimmers 8 & Under and 13-18 years old.

Day 2 is ONLY swimmers 9-12 years old.

I will send out the specific details such as parking, where to sit, concessions, etc, on Prelims once I have them.

PRELIMS SIGN-UPS: There are THREE Prelim events listed on the Sign-Up Calendar. Use the “PRELIMS SIGN-UP: ALL swimmers” event to sign-up your swimmer.

The deadline to sign-up is Tuesday, July 5 @ 5:00pm. (Yep, that’s like almost NOW. Eek!)

Use the appropriate Prelim day (either July 11, July 12 or both) to sign up for Volunteer Positions. Because Prelims happen on workdays we know that it is especially tough on parents to volunteer but we NEED volunteers! ALL of the teams struggle to fill these positions so please, please, please help out if you can.

CHAMPIONSHIPS: I have opened just the Volunteer Positions for the Championship meet. I will send out more details on that meet once we get past Prelims. Again, see our FAQ page for answers to some common questions. If you still have questions, please feel free to ask me. I am always updating the information based on the questions that I get.

OK, all of that said, if you can, please sign your swimmers up for this Saturday’s meet AND Prelims right now. If necessary, we can work out carpooling for Prelims later this week.
