Meet Program & Info for TOMORROW'S MEET
Alright, everybody, here it is! I am attaching the Meet Program, the Individual Entry List, a document with the Combined Events (listed below in red) and the Walking Map from the Polton parking lot.
Below are the events that will be combined. If you’re new and this is confusing just be sure to get your swimmer to the heating area on time and they will get them where they need to be.

Heat 1 of the following events will be combined:
5, 6 31, 32 49, 50, 51* 72, 73

All swimmers will swim with the last event listed.

* Unusual Combining/Officials need to be aware
Friday Night Set-Up: We will start setting up at 7:00pm. Thank you to everyone that has volunteered to help! If anyone wants to stop by to help, feel free.
Saturday Morning Set-Up: There is still plenty to be done on Saturday morning and we don’t really have a volunteer sign-up for that but if you are able to help out feel free to jump in. I am hoping to have lists posted around the area of what needs to be done.
Saturday Clean-Up After: I know everyone will be hot, tired and sweaty after this meet - I will too! - but any help cleaning up afterwards is GREATLY appreciated! We will need to put away chairs, tables, tents, all of the signs, parking pylons, concessions, etc. The clubhouse will need to be cleaned, mopped, vacuumed, etc. All of the trash throughout the entire pool area will need to be picked up and put in a trash can. We want to keep our DW community happy so we want everything as clean as possible. Thank you in advance to everyone who can help us out!
Meet Prep: Be prepared for this meet to run until 1:00pm. If you’re wondering what to bring you can use the "Meet Preparation" page for most of Saturday's information. Be sure to remember extra towels and goggles.
The biggest change is that we need to arrive even earlier than usual because we need to get THREE teams warmed up, instead of two.
Arrive by: 6:00am
Warm ups: 6:20am
Meet begins: 7:30am
Seating Area: Dam West will be sitting in the grassy area on the north side (shallow end) of the pool. There is a tree that will provide some shade but the rest of the area will be sunny and HOT so bring tents or canopies or umbrellas. Get cozy with your teammates. It seems like a small area but we all fit just fine. FYI: the grassy area towards the corner and in front of the tree – where the grass meets the concrete deck – will become a swamp so anyone sitting there will want to be in a chair, not on the ground. All of the pool lounge chairs will be put away so please bring your own chairs.
Parking: As you all know we have a very small parking lot. If you’re driving and get there early – before I can get the Reserved Parking signs out - please leave the 4 parking spots in the farthest SE corner open. (Closest to the playground.) We have 210 swimmers coming so parking is going to be tight. If you can carpool or walk, please do. The other teams have been given maps to park at Polton and walk over. I will attach them for you as well.
VOLUNTEER MEETINGS: All information meetings will be held at 7:10 am - please listen for announcements for exact locations and times in case they change.
S&T meeting: the Lifeguard stand near Officials Area. Scribes too.
ALL Timers: (1st and 2nd shift) meet behind the diving blocks.
Heating meeting: in the heating area (the baby pool area.)
SHIFT BREAK: The shift change will be after Event 48. (Backstroke) There will be an announcement for 2nd shift. 2nd shift volunteers please be listening and get to your position quickly. Better yet, be ready nearby before Event 48. We need to move as quickly as possible!
Meet Program: If you need to look at a Meet Program they will be posted on a white board in the DWD sitting area, facing the pool.
Event Results: Results will be posted on a white board hanging on the north fence outside of the pool facing the parking lot.
Concessions: We will have breakfast burritos and other breakfast items available as well as lots of drinks and snacks. There will be hot dogs and hamburgers available for lunch. Cash is easiest but we do have the means to accept a credit card. If your swimmer has Dolphin Dollars from this season or seasons past they can use them here. They are worth 25 cents each. (Most things are $1+.)
Watch and Listen for your swimmer's events so they are in heating on time. We will be doing some “creative combining” of events for this meet so please keep an eye on the Heating Numbers (in the baby pool area) and make sure we can find your swimmer(s). Remember, there will be a yellow number behind the officials that will tell you which event is currently in the pool.
DO NOT leave early before the end of the meet unless you first notify Coach Emilie.
Contact Coach Emilie ASAP if for any reason your swimmer cannot make the meet! [email protected]or (970) 376-5362.
Swim Caps & T-shirts: Will be sold at the concession stand. The silicone caps are $12. Any extra t-shirts will be available there as well.
Photos: If you happen to capture any great shots of your kids (swimming, playing, dancing, goofing around, whatever) or groups of kids or coaches or parents or families… you get the idea… please email them to Alisa at: [email protected].
Theme: The coaches would like to remind all the swimmers that Saturday’s theme is “Wild Wild West!” (Dam West, Hills West & Castle Rock West.) Yee-haw!
Coaches Relay: I know I mentioned the coaches relay in a previous email but I doubt that we will have time for that tomorrow.
OK, that's it for now. See you all tomorrow Bright & Early!! Please let me know if you have any questions.
