    PRELIMS 1 INFO: 8&Under, 13-14 and 15-18

    Clarke Farms

    Prelims Day 1 on Monday July 12th, 2021


    Age Groups: 6 & Under, 7-8, 13-14, 15-18

    Arrive by: You should aim to arrive by 6:30am in order find parking, unload and find a place to set up.

    Warm-up Times:

    7:00-7:15 Clarke Farms (Lanes 1-3), DAM WEST (Lanes 4-6), HILLS WEST (7-8)

    7:15 – 7:30 CRE (Lanes 1-3), CRW (Lanes 4-6), CPV (Lanes 7-8)

    7:30 – 7:45 One way starts: CLRK (lanes 1-2) Rock East (Lane 3), Rock West (Lane 4) CPVS (Lane 5), DAMW (Lane 6), HILLSW (Lane 7)


    Directions:

    Clarke Farms Dr. is a loop that runs through the neighborhood; we are located at the first (north) entrance at Clarke Farms Dr., closest to Lincoln. If you miss the first it take the second and follow the loop.


    Parking:  Parking is available on the street - Clarke Farms Drive and throughout the neighborhood as well. There is also limited parking at the school lot due to construction. Please do not park in or block residential driveways.


    SET UP:  We will have NO setting up for teams within the pools area this year. Teams are invited to set up on a first come first serve basis anywhere outside the pool area. Areas for teams to stake out are below:

    • Front of pool building
    • East and West side of building
    • Parking lot area and Park area

    We do have a gate from the park area for access the pool deck. You can also enter from the front of the building.


    The baby pool is closed during meets and not available for use.


    Concessions:  Concessions will be located just within the entrance of the pool deck/building. Breakfast, lunch and snack items will be available for purchase. We serve breakfast burritos, bagels, and donuts and will have and hotdogs for lunch options. There are several snack items as well as water, coffee and soda also available for purchase.


    Scoring System:  We will be using the Dolphin Timing System and running a card less meet. Timers will be given instructions on the use of this system prior to the meet start at 7:30am for BOTH 1st and 2nd shift timers.


    Heating: As previously determined, we will be heating by team within the pool deck area. Each team will need to bring a tent for their heating area. Swimmers will be checked in by their heating volunteers for their events. Swimmers will provide their last names and event when entering the heating area and will be guided to their seat (lane) assignment. Writing the swimmer’s names on their back and events on forearm is very helpful! There will be a heating meeting at 7:30am for BOTH 1st and 2nd shifts at the main heating area at the south end of the pool.


    Volunteers: We are still in need of:

    (2) Heating – Shift 1

    (1) Heating – Shift 2

    (1) Runner – Shift 1

    (3) Timers – Shift 2


    There will be NO relays at Prelims but everything else will run pretty much like a normal meet and you're all pros at it now!  Each team will be Heating their own swimmers and then combining them at the blocks.  Parking and finding a spot to set-up may be a challenge so get there early!  My understanding is we can set up tents in their parking lot.  (It's fairly small.)
