Happy day-after 4th of July! Thank you to everyone who was able to join us. We had a great Dolphin turn-out! Bummer that the Swim Games got rained out halfway through but I hope everyone had a great day!

I will be sending out more details on Saturday's last dual meet soon (probably tomorrow) but wanted to send out some reminders as we head into our final weeks of swim team. It's about to get super crazy so buckle up and get ready!

UPCOMING EVENTS!

I have updated the “Sign-Up Calendar” with ALL of the events and as much detail as I have at the moment. You are going to need to sign up for 2 (or 3 depending on your swimmers’ ages) events all by Wednesday, July 7^th!

SAT, July 10 - LAST DUAL MEET: Saturday, July 10^th we will be at Castle Pines Village. This will be our last dual meet! Meet Entries are due by Wednesday, July 7 @ 5:00pm! Thank you to everyone that has signed up so far! If you haven’t yet, please do so now. Remember, if you don’t know what events to put your swimmer in just mark them as “Attending.”

PRELIMS: There is a section regarding Prelims & Championships under the Parents Tab called "FAQs". Scroll down towards the bottom.

Prelims will run similar to a regular meet except that there are no relays and the days are divided up by age groups.

Monday, July 12: Age groups "8 & Under", "13-14" and "15-18"

Tuesday, July 13: Age groups "9-10" and "11-12"

I know these 2 events can be challenging because most people work during the week but we will still need some volunteers. If you can't be there but want your swimmer to go you can ask other parents to help out. Let me know and we can work to figure something out. I do not have all the details just yet but you can sign up your swimmer and see what volunteer positions are needed. I am still waiting on the officials positions (S&T judges, etc) that are handled separately so, STROKE & TURN JUDGES, don’t sign up just yet! I left them on there for now but I’m not sure what we actually need yet.

Meet Entries are due by Wednesday, July 7 @ 5:00pm!

CHAMPIONSHIPS: This will run more like a regular dual meet except that all 6 teams from Division C will be there! There will only be 16 swimmers in each event + relays. More details on this event will come out once we get through Prelims.

BANQUET: Join us for some end-of-season fun! We’ll have a potluck, some cake, a slideshow and give out some awards! RSVP’s and Job Sign-Ups are open. (Yep, we still need help setting up and cleaning up.)

PHOTOGRAPHS!!  WE NEED YOUR PHOTOS FOR THE SLIDESHOW - NOW!

Everyone should have received an email invitation from Alisa Becerra (via Google Drive) with a subject line like: "DAM WEST DOLPHINS 2021 - Invitation to collaborate"

"[email protected] has invited you to contribute to the following shared folder:" You can just open the link and then drag and drop any photos that you want to share there.  So any photos you have of swimmers swimming, playing, families, groups, activities, dancing, working... you get the idea!  (You can see the previous years' slideshows on our FB page.)

The sooner you can get them to Alisa the better! She needs time to put it together and see if she has pictures of every single kiddo. And if not, we need time to get photos of them at the last 2 meets coming up! So, if you have any photos you are willing to share please get them to her THIS WEEK so she can start working on it. If they come in too late she won't be able to use them.

Alright, I know that’s a LOT coming at you fast but take a look at the “Sign-Up Calendar” and see if makes a little more sense. I’m always here to answer questions! Now go sign-up your swimmers NOW for Saturday and whichever Prelim they will be in!  And please sign-up for a volunteer position while you’re there!
