Meet Results: 6-12-21
Sorry for the late hour! We had to correct a few things and it's been a busy day.
Dual Meet #2 is officially in the books! Great job to all our Dolphins and thank you to everyone who volunteered! (A shout out to Ashlee Adams for coming even though her swimmers couldn’t swim!)
Next week is our first HOME MEET! Yay! For those of you that are new you’ll get to see how it runs with the Dolphin System instead of cards. Just as an FYI, we needed 43 positions filled for the away meets. For the home meets we will have 54 positions to fill! I will be sending out more information on the home meets soon!
MEET RESULTS: In case you were wondering, they had 99 swimmers and we had 38.
The Meet Results and Individual Entry Results are attached. The final score was:
Castle Rock West 491
Dam West 293
To see how your swimmer(s) did look at the Individuals Result Sheets. To figure out how to read them go to the “How To Read Individual Results” page under the “Meet Information” tab. My favorite part is that little * that means someone beat their own best time! (For new swimmers and new events, now you have a time to beat!) If you got an * you’ve earned a “dolphin dollar” worth 25 cents at our Home Meet concession stand! (I know, I know. We need to change the name but dolphin quarter doesn’t sound as cool.)
ALL-STARS: Congratulations to Lauren Becerra, Micaela Brown, Candyce Hill, Yuichi Hunter, Eric Kelly and Gabby Robinson for qualifying for All-Stars last week and/or this week! (That’s the “AS21” listed next to their times.) You can go to the MHSL website to see what times are required in each event to be an All-Star. Or click HERE.
AWARDS: Ribbons and Dolphin Dollars will be in the gray, file folder Awards Box. The box can be found Monday morning during practice times, usually on the table behind the starting blocks. To keep wet little hands off of the files, I encourage the parents or coaches to help find the file and hand the swimmers their ribbons.
VOLUNTEERS: I have already opened up the Volunteer list for the next 2 home meets, June 19th and 26th. If you have any questions you can contact Candace Ellman at [email protected].
Also, just a reminder that each family is expected to volunteer at each of the meets they attend. There are various ways to volunteer. If your family cannot provide a volunteer, please contact Candace Ellman at [email protected] and let her know.
OK, that’s all for now! Now go enter your swimmer(s) “Attending” or “Not Attending” for Saturday’s meet! Deadline is Wed, 6/16/21 at 12:00pm. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
